General Steuben is a 10" plush Boyds Bears. He was made to honor General Steuben that was born in Germany in 1730. He served as an officer under King Frederick the Great. He met with Benjamin Franklin in 1777 teaching farm boys how to defeat the British. His drill book remains the basis of today's military training. He retired to New York and died in 1794. The 3rd Saturday in September, New York City celebrates his life and legancy with the Annual Steuben Parade.
